Meet KFI's Employee Of The Month For October.....Victor Wright!

We might be a little biased, but we have an AMAZING crew here at KFI. They are the hardest working people in radio.

From those you hear on-air regularly to those behind the scenes, there's a lot of moving parts to what makes up the ultimate final on-air product and their work is invaluable. Without them, KFI wouldn't be KFI!

So each month, we present one of these amazing and dedicated employees with the KFI Employee of The Month honor to recognize them and to give you a little more insight into those that bring you the KFI you love each day, and the best part is that these winners are chosen by their peers!

Each Employee of the Month receives a few fun prizes, a certificate, an official award, will be featured in an on-air promo and their name will be enshrined on a perpetual plaque that will be located in our building.

So, we'd like to introduce you to KFI's Employee of the Month for October is....Victor Wright!

Victor joined the KFI team back in February of 2019 as a producer. It wasn't long before we tasked him with producing the Daily Dive podcast. He's done an amazing job working with Daily Dive host, Oscar Ramirez and continues to be a huge support for any KFI show that needs a little extra help.

Here's what some of Victor's co-workers had to say about him:

"Kind of quiet at first, but get him talking and he's freaking hilarious."
"Hard working, easy going, constantly being recorded or annoyed by Morgan, he doesn't let it phase him at all."
"He works so hard!"
"He has a great attitude every time he's in the office."
"One of the calmest people I've ever seen, but don't let that fool you, he's a dedicated and hard worker with a quick wit."

Where did you grow up?

Grew up in La Mirada

How long have you worked in radio?

2.5 years... this is my first radio job and got started back in 2019.

What made you decide on a career in radio?

I always loved podcasting and radio. I had a bunch of my own shows in college which really kicked off my passion.

What do you like most about your job?

I love the people I work with! I don't think I've ever been around so many characters!

Any pet peeves?

I don't know what's so hard about leaving the studio the way you left it. It takes like 5 seconds to sign out and wipe it down. Also, I keep slipping on urine in the bathroom? Why is that a thing!???

Favorite hobbies:

Love reading and playing video games. I also love getting super swole at the gym.

Favorite food / drink?

Homemade chicken noodle soup and cold beer.

What does the perfect 'day off' for you consist of?

I just want to stay in bed and play video games, read, and eat all day.

What's the one thing that people don't know about you?

I have way too many secrets for me to properly answer this question.

Any advice for anyone just starting in the radio business?

Have fun with it! You're talking and listening for a living so don't take yourself too seriously.
