----- The Houston Rockets used a 33-13 run at the end of the first half and start of the third quarter to bury the Trail Blazers Friday night at Toyota Center in Houston, Texas.
Kevin Durant scored a game-high 30 and Alperen Sengun recorded a double-double as the Houston Rockets routed the Portland Trail Blazers 140-116 Friday night at Toyota Center in NBA Cup play.
Deni Avdija led Portland (6-6) with 22 points and 10 rebounds and Shaedon Sharpe added 19 points and eight rebounds.
The Trail Blazers trailed by just one late in the first half, but the Rockets put together a 33-13 run that spanned the end of the first half and start of the third quarter to take control of the game.
The Rockets pushed their lead to 21 with an 11-0 run at the end of the third and start of the fourth quarter. The Trail Blazers did not threaten the rest of the way.
Portland committed 20 turnovers leading to 30 points for Houston. The Rockets were +19 in points off turnovers.
Houston (8-3) is 8-1 in their last 9 games.
