Paolo Banchero finished with 28 points, nine rebounds, and three assists and Desmond Bane scored 22 including the game-winning three-pointer at the buzzer as the Orlando Magic topped the Portland Trail Blazers 115-112 Monday night at KIA Center in Orlando.
Shaedon Sharpe led Portland (5-5) with a game-high 31 points on 12-of-18 shooting and Deni Avdija added 27 points, five rebounds, and five assists.
Orlando (5-6) pushed their lead to 110-101 with 2:32 remaining, but the Trail Blazers responded with 11-straight points to take a 112-110 lead with 10.6 seconds remaining following a three-point play from Jerami Grant.
Banchero tied the game at 112 with a drive to the basket. He was fouled on the play but missed the free throw. After a Portland timeout, Banchero was able to steal the ball away from Jrue Holiday with 1.9 seconds remaining timeout Orlando.
The magic got the ball to Bane and he fired up a shot from the right wing for the win.
The Trail Blazers missed three free throws in the fourth quarter and committed seven turnovers leading to 12 points for the Magic. Portland was -8 in points off turnovers in the fourth.
Up Next- The Trail Blazers continue their 5-game road trip Wednesday in New Orleans against the Pelicans. The game is scheduled to tip off at 5:00 PM.
