Deni Avdija finished with 26 points, 10 rebounds, and nine assists and Jrue Holiday added 22 points and six rebounds as the Portland Trail Blazers end a 16-game losing streak to the OKC Thunder 121-119 Wednesday night at Moda Center in Portland, Oregon.
The Thunder raced to a 22-point lead early in the second quarter, but the Trail Blazers used a 16-2 run to cut the deficit to one at 55-54.
After the Thunder pushed their lead to 14 in the third, the Blazers responded with an 11-2 run at the end of the third and trailed by just five heading into the final period.
Portland (5-3) connected on 13-of-16 from the field in the fourth quarter and pushed their lead to nine at 115-106 following an Avdija three.
The Thunder closed the gap to three with 0.5 seconds on the clock with Isaiah Joe at the free throw line. He made the first and intentionally missed the second but Robert Williams III was able to secure the rebound and the win.
After making just 9-of-40 from three-point range in Monday's loss to the Lakers, they connected on 19-of-43 on Wednesday.
Shaedon Sharpe finished with 18 points and six rebounds and Duop Reath added 12 points off the bench.
