Deni Avdija scored a team-high 25 points, Jrue Holiday finished with 24 points and six assists, and Jerami Grant poured in 22 off the bench.
Los Angeles (2-2) got a game-high 41 from Austin Reaves and 16 points and eight rebounds from Deandre Ayton.
Both teams were playing the second of a back-to-back and it showed. The two combined for a total of 44 turnovers. Portland gave up 30 points off of 19 turnovers and the Lakers turned it over 25 times leading to 28 points for the Blazers.
The Trail Blazers led 57-51 at halftime and then used a 16-7 third quarter run to take command of the game. After taking a 12-point lead into the fourth, Portland opened the final quarter on an 8-2 run following back-to-back threes from Holiday and the Lakers did not threaten the rest of the way.
Los Angeles was playing without Lebron James and Luka Doncic. Matisse Thybulle missed the game for Portland.
Tiago Splitter gave props to Donovan Clingan for having a "low-key" good performance. He finished with 16 points, 14 rebounds, and two blocked shots.
