34 Arrests Made During Police Mission

A mid-week mission in the Downtown Portland area resulted in the seizure of a firearm, seizure of drugs and numerous arrests.

On Wednesday, March 6, 2024, officers from Central Precinct, East Precinct, North Precinct and Oregon State Police, with the assistance of Public Safety Support Specialists, spent hours addressing chronic criminal activity, livability issues and drug dealing. The estimated 50 officers focused on Downtown Portland, Old Town, Northwest/Pearl and Central Eastside.

The mission resulted in:

  • 34 arrests, one of which was for Distribution of a Controlled Substance (fentanyl)
  • 29 M110 tickets written
  • 1.4 grams of fentanyl seized
  • 2 stolen vehicles recovered
  • 1 firearm seized

The Portland Police Bureau remains committed to conducting future joint missions in other parts of the city in an effort to address criminal activity and livability issues.
