The National Transportation Safety Board reports the missing door plug from the Alaska Airlines flight in Portland Friday night was found by a Portland area school teacher.
They say the door is an important part of their investigation. Over the weekend, two cell phones that were sucked out of the plane were also found.
The plane was taking off from Portland International Airport when around 16,000 feet a door plug was blown out and there was an explosive depressurization in the cabin.
The force was strong enough to rip head rests from seats, seat backs, and a tray table also went out through the hole. The door to the cockpit was ripped open.
The plane landed safely and there were minor injuries to four people.
The NTSB is investigating the cause of the accident.
