Victim In Fatal Stabbing Identified

The victim of a fatal stabbing at a MAX station in downtown Portland on Christmas Eve has been identified.

Police say 23-year-old Juan Orellana-Gavarrete was stabbed during a fight at the Providence Park MAX station.

He rode a train to the Goose Hollow station where he was reached by officers and treated by medics. He died at a hospital.

Police identified the suspect as 22-year-old Edel Cruz-Aragon. He was arrested in downtown Portland booked on a charge of Murder in the Second Degree.
