Union Gospel Mission’s Christmas Day meal will take place on Monday, December 25th at 10:00 a.m. at 15 NW Third Avenue.
The meal includes ham with pineapple and brown sugar, AuGratin potatoes, green beans with onion, dinner rolls and butter, tropical fruit salad, and pie. Guests will also receive a snack sack for later in the day.
UGM began delivering hot Christmas meals Sunday, December 17th on their Search + Rescue mobile outreach and continued throughout the week. In all, they will serve nearly 800 hot Christmas meals to those experiencing homelessness, concluding with the sit-down meal Christmas Day in downtown Portland.
“It’s such a blessing to be able to bring our houseless guests and neighbors into a place of warmth, providing them with a home cooked meal and some friendly faces from our volunteers, residents and staff,” says Lori Quinney Food Service Director
