Oregon Humane Society is celebrating the last week of 2023 by waiving adoption fees on all adult dogs, 1 year and older. The promotion kicks off on Boxing Day, Dec. 26, and runs through Dec. 31.
This adoption special is taking place at OHS’ Portland and Salem campuses.
There are currently close to 100 dogs and puppies looking for a home at OHS’ Portland and Salem campuses.
Adoptions at the Salem Campus are done on a walk-in basis. In Portland, adoptions are done by appointment when you submit a questionnaire for a specific dog; or visit the shelter and submit via our lobby kiosk.
OHS adoption specialists work with each potential new family to help ensure a dog is the right fit, and provide information and tools for future success.
All adoptions include up-to-date vaccines, spay/neuter, microchip, and a certificate for a free health exam with participating veterinarians.
“I can’t think of a better way to begin 2024 than with a new four-legged best friend,” says Eleena Fikhman, OHS Director of Adoptions. “Dogs bring so much joy and unconditional love to our lives, and giving a dog in need a home is one of the most heartwarming things you can do.”
OHS Portland and Salem campuses are open 10 a.m. to 7 p.m., Dec. 26-30, and 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. on Dec. 31. OHS Portland can be found at 1067 NE Columbia Blvd., Portland, OR. OHS Salem is located at 4246 Turner Rd., Salem, OR.
