Gresham Police officers are searching for a red Chevrolet S10 pickup that was stolen at gunpoint this morning. Shortly before 5:00 a.m., officers responded to a 911 call in the 100 block of northeast 192 Ave. When they arrived, they learned the victim left his pickup running unattended when he went inside his residence to grab something. When the victim returned to his pickup, he found the suspect in the driver’s seat. The suspect pointed a handgun at the victim and drove off in the victim’s vehicle.
Officers checked the area but have not found the stolen pickup and are asking for the public’s help in locating it. Oregon license plates (WZZ567) were on the vehicle at the time it was taken. If anyone sees it, they should call 911. They should not approach the vehicle as the suspect is known to be armed with a handgun.
