The Clackamas County Sheriff's Office is asking for the public's help to identify the suspect in a $40,000 jewelry-store theft. Photos of the suspect are attached.

Just before 2:30 p.m. on August 13, 2022, the suspect walked into the Joe Kassab Jewelers at Clackamas Town Center. The man asked to see a necklace valued at $40,000, pulled it off the display, and ran out of the store. He then went to the mall parking lot and entered a blue SUV with its white, possibly out-of-state license plate covered and drove away.

The pictured suspect is described as follows:

  • African-American male, tall in stature, with close-cropped hair and a beard
  • Wearing a red, white and black hoodie, dark pants and Christian Louboutin Loubishark sneakers
  • Had a large, distinctive tattoo of a lightning bolt starting on the back of the neck and wrapping around to the front. The tattoo was estimated as being approximately 6" x 3" in size.
