Eight people were arrested during a retail theft mission in Northeast Portland.
On Saturday, officers from North Precinct focused on the area around the Hollywood Fred Meyer store.
Along with the arrests of eight people, they also seized stolen merchandise and drugs.
Portland Police have conducted several retail theft missions in an effort to reduce organized thefts from stores. Officers also work with the Multnomah County District Attorney's Office that has a special task force to prosecute retail theft suspects.
