Two Clackamas County Sheriff's deputies are recovering after being shot responding to a burglary in progress in Clackamas.

The Sheriff's Office says the deputies were contacting two male suspects when one of them pulled a pistol and started shooting.

One deputy returned fire, but the suspect wasn't injured.

One deputy suffered a broken pelvic bone and was treated and released from OHSU. The other deputy suffered a broken arm and remains hospitalized in good condition.

The two suspects, 32-year-old Tyler Scott and 46-year-old Joseph Shaffer, were arrested by other deputies. They'll be arraigned on Monday.
