Two-Year-Old Found After 17 Hours

On Saturday, May 6, 2023, Clackamas County Sheriff’s deputies responded to a report of a missing two-year-old girl just after 7:30 p.m. The family reported the girl had left the residence on Yoder Road, near Hwy 211 (west of Molalla). When they discovered that Raelynn Mishler was missing, they began searching for her. When she wasn’t located, they called the Sheriff’s Office for help.

Deputies began searching the area and quickly activated search and rescue resources from across the region. Searchers used drones, an airplane, K9 units, and more to scour the rural property which has large fields, wooded areas, and small bodies of water. Searchers, including Clackamas County Sheriff’s Office detectives, continued to search overnight and additional resources, including the Clackamas County Water Rescue Team arrived early Sunday morning.

Shortly after 11:00 a.m., our searchers located Raelynn laying down in tall grass approximately a quarter mile from her home. She was alive and alert. She was reunited with her family and taken to the hospital for further evaluation.
