On May 2, 2023, North Precinct officers, in collaboration with business partners, conducted another successful retail theft mission in the Jantzen Beach area. These missions have had a significant impact on retail theft, property crime and community livability.
North Precinct officers along with loss prevention assets, K9 officers and East and North Precinct detectives, conducted several felony and misdemeanor arrests of chronic shoplifters in the area. Officers made five arrests, six traffic stops, recovered $600.74 in retail merchandise, seized an illegal firearm and recovered two stolen vehicles recovered. Two vehicles eluded.
