The Portland are got hit with a record setting snow storm on Wednesday.
The forecast was calling for a few inches, but 10 inches fell with more in higher elevations.
The storm hit during the afternoon commute, causing vehicles to get stuck on hills, ramps and overpasses. Many drivers were in their vehicles over six hours. Some people spent the night in their vehicles.
Road crews are working to plow the freeways, highways and secondary roads. Sub-freezing temperatures are expected into the weekend, so the snow and ice won't melt fast.
