Police say speed racing was the cause of a crash late Saturday night in North Portland that killed one person.
The crash happened in the 59-hundred block of North Marine Drive.
Both vehicles were going fast when they lost control and crashed. One of the cars caught fire.
Both drivers and a passenger were hospitalized.
One of the drivers died at a hospital. The person's name will be released after relatives are notified.
