The driver of a stolen pickup tried to run down a Portland Police officer.
The truck was stopped near Southeast 35th and Cora Drive when officers approached.
The suspect backed up into a police car, and tried to run over an officer who used his car as protection.
The driver fled and crashed head-on into a vehicle near Southeast 72nd and Tolman.
The driver of the car that was hit suffered minor injuries, but wasn't hospitalized.
The suspect ran and was caught by police. He was evaluated at a hospital before being booked into jail.
