At VA Portland's Job Fair on October 1 from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. at Portland VA Medical Center, interviews and on-the-spot offers will be done on-site for dozens of government jobs with great benefits.
If you have experience in the medical field as a registered nurse, come put your knowledge and skills to work and get great pay, working hours, and a benefits package like no other. VA Portland is also seeking to hire 40 housekeeping aides and 25 food service workers and cooks to join VA’s team to serve our nation’s veterans.
VA Portland is hiring for positions in Portland, Vancouver and other locations.
WAGES— Starting hourly rate for a housekeeping aide is $16.16 and for more experienced candidates, $18.88. Hourly rate for food service workers starts at $17.73 and goes up to $20.68. Registered nurses’ annual salary ranges from $76,614 and goes up to $137,843 annually.
PAID VACATION— Federal employees receive 11 paid holidays per year. You will also receive unlimited accumulated paid sick leave and employees also receive paid vacation time that accrues on your first day.
You do not need to be a veteran to work at VA.
