Police in Bend are trying to learn more about the man who killed two people at a Safeway before apparently killing himself. Police Chief Mike Krantz says the suspect was working alone and they have no evidence there was a second shooter.
The suspect started shooting near a Costco and Big Lots store at a shopping center. He fatally shot a person outside of a Safeway, went into the store firing several rounds from an assault-style rifle and then killed another person at the back of the store.
Police found the suspect dead. A shotgun was also found near his body. Police have not released the suspect's name.
