Portland Police are investigating two fatal shootings that happened on Monday.
The first shooting happened Monday afternoon. Officers were dispatched to the 3200 Block of Northeast 81st Avenue. When officers arrived, they found a deceased male. After a preliminary investigation, officers found the victim did not die from natural causes. The Medical Examiner will determine the cause of death. No arrests have been made.
At 10:09 p.m., officers from the East Precinct were dispatched to a report of a shooting at 11800 Southeast Liebe Street, Raymond Park. It was reported that a victim was helped into a privately owned vehicle that left the scene. A responding sergeant came across that vehicle with the victim inside at the intersection of Southeast 122nd Avenue and Southeast Division Street. The sergeant went to provide first aid but found the victim deceased. No arrest has been made.
