Clark County Sheriff Deputies arrested a juvenile male at Skyview High School for Unlawful Possession of a Firearm and Possession a Dangerous Weapon on school ground.
School employees had located a handgun in a jacket pocket of the student while at the school.
The juvenile stated school officials he had brought the firearm for self-defense. The semi-automatic handgun had rounds in the magazine and an empty chamber.
Under Washington law, the juvenile was referred to speak to a Designated Crisis Responder while at the Juvenile Detention Center.
