Reward Offered In North Portland Homicide

The Portland Police Bureau, in partnership with Crime Stoppers of Oregon, is asking for the public's help to solve the June 2021 homicide of Alexander Martinson.

On Saturday, June 19, 2021, at approximately 9:54 p.m., Portland Police Bureau officers were dispatched to a report of someone shot at North Columbia Way and North Midway Avenue. When officers arrived at the scene, they located a victim, 19-year-old Alexander Douglas Martinson, who was critically wounded. Mr. Martinson was transported by ambulance to a Portland area hospital, where he later died as a result of his injuries.

The Medical Examiner conducted an autopsy on Mr. Martinson, determining that he died as a result of a gunshot wound and ruled his death a homicide.

A photograph of Mr. Martinson was provided by his family to aid in this investigation.
