Portland Rose Festival announces winners in citywide celebration of America's Original Porch Parade. An idea that started in Portland in 2020, caught on across the country, and returned this year with area businesses joining the celebration. Also new this year, Festival sponsor Alaska Airlines joined in to offer round-trip tickets to the first place winners! Winners were judged on how well they fit themes representing the Rose Festival's three storied Parades: The Grand Floral, the Starlight and the Junior Parade.
Additional awards were handed out for best representation of the Portlandia spirit and a Clown Prince Award for being so darn cute. (See award list below.)Second place winners each get the Rose Festival's 2021 theme rose "Burst of Hope."Third place, and the Portlandia and Clown Prince awards receive passes and ride tickets to 2022 CityFair.

Rose Festival Wine Label contest:
Oak Knoll Winery, the Official Winery of the Portland Rose Festival, presented the winner of its annual wine label art contest today. Jeannie Herinckx, an early childhood educator at the local Waldorf School in Cornelius unveiled her winning work in a live Facebook stream from the Oak Knoll garden in Hillsboro. Herinckx holds a degree in Graphic Design and Education from Portland State University. She enjoys many artistic hobbies such as painting, drawing, multimedia design, crafting, wood working and teaching private art lessons to kids
Oak Knoll annually seeks submissions from the greater community for creative and original art to be considered for the Rose Festival Oak Knoll Wine Label. Oak Knoll produces a custom wine label for its Rose Festival release of Pinot Noir, Pinot Gris and Rosé of Pinot Noir. The contest is open to everyone identifying as an artist with a 2021 Rose Vision.
Oak Knoll generously donate $1000 to the winning artist and provide the experience of transforming their artwork into a wine label by participating in the process with representatives from Rose City Label Company.
