The Portland Police Bureau, in partnership with Crime Stoppers of Oregon, is asking for the public's help to solve the homicides of Billy Lewnes and Amber Coughtry.
On September 29, 2020, North Precinct officers responded to the area of North Victory Blvd and North Force Avenue on reports of a shooting. Upon arrival, officers found two people deceased of apparent gunshot wounds.
The victims, 41-year-old Amber Coughtry and 41-year-old Billy Lewnes, both died from gunshot wounds and the Oregon State Medical Examiner has ruled their deaths homicides. Ms. Coughtry and Mr. Lewnes were the 36th and 37th homicide victims in Portland in 2020.
