The Washington County Sheriff's Office is investigating the death of a three-year-old boy who shot himself after getting a gun from a bedside drawer.
The incident happened Friday night on a home on Southwest Millennium Terrace in Aloha.
Detectives say James Lindquester got a handgun from a bedroom end table draw and shot himself in the head.
Deputies along with Metro West and Tualatin Valley Fire and Rescue took over life-saving efforts from the family. James was taken to an area hospital where he was pronounced deceased just before midnight.
Detectives from the Violent Crimes Unit and the Special Investigations Unit responded to the scene and the investigation is on-going.
