The Clackamas County Sheriff's Office is asking for the public's help in a heartbreaking case: the theft of precious possessions from the vehicle of a 90-year-old Happy Valley resident.

The victim, a 90-year-old man, lives in the Town Center Terrace Apartments on SE Causey Avenue in Happy Valley. In response to the Clackamas County wildfires, the man packed valuable possessions into his vehicle, but did not evacuate.

At an unknown time between Sept. 14 and 18, an unknown suspect or suspects entered the vehicle in the Town Center Terrace Apartments parking lot and stole everything inside.

The devastated victim told deputies that items stolen from his vehicle included wedding rings belonging to him and his late wife, a coin collection, and jewelry.
