The Portland Police Bureau, in partnership with Crime Stoppers of Oregon, is asking for the public's help to solve the homicide of a 16-year-old young man.
On August 27, 2020, at approximately 9:02 p.m., Portland Police responded to the area of Gateway Discovery Park in the 10500 block of Northeast Halsey Street on reports of shots fired. When officers arrived at the scene, they found four young adult victims suffering from gunshot wounds.
One of the victims, 16-year-old Jaelin James Scott suffered a fatal gunshot wound and the Medical Examiner ruled his death a homicide. The other three victims were transported by ambulance to Portland area hospitals for treatment to non-life-threatening injuries.
At this point in the investigation, there is no actionable suspect information.
