The University of Connecticut reports former Portland Trail Blazer Cliff Robinson has died at age 53.
Robinson played 19 years in the NBA. He was drafted 36th by the Trail Blazers and played eight years for the team.
Robinson was named Sixth Man of the Year in 1993 and played on the All Star team in 1994.
After leaving the Blazers he played for the Suns, Pistons, Warriors and the Nets. He retired from the NBA in 2007.
When Robinson played for UConn he helped the team win the 1988 NIT Championship. His number was retired at the school in 2007.
Robinson was dealing with health issues including a stroke.
