Fred Meyer Announces New Rewards Program


Fred Meyer has announced changes that are designed to help customers save more money and receive benefits instantly. The company is investing millions of dollars to lower prices on thousands of items that customers buy every day. Fred Meyer has also improved their loyalty program with more personalized offers and conveniences for shoppers.

In addition to the all of the lower prices that can be seen across the store, the new loyalty program is designed to provide more savings as customers shop, instead of having to wait for a possible rebate voucher months down the road. “We are excited to make such a substantial investment toward lower prices, and to provide new personalized offers to our customers,” stated Dennis Gibson, president of Fred Meyer. “We know that times are tough for many in the community, and they need help now. We are here for our customers when they need us most.”

The changes are designed to help ensure that all customers benefit from the loyalty program, and not just those who spent enough to receive a quarterly rebate. “We recognize that many of our customers are living on a limited budget and need savings now, and some simply hadn’t qualified for a rebate voucher,” continued Gibson. “The average customer will save $663 per year, and potentially much more.” The program is designed so that savings add up for everyone the more that they shop. Customers who enjoy earning Rewards points and receiving quarterly rebate vouchers can still do so with the Fred Meyer Rewards Mastercard.

• Free PickUp service so customers can place orders online from home with no need to enter the store

• Price Match Guarantee across Home, Apparel, and Electronics departments

• More frequent 2x, 3x, and 4x fuel point promotions than ever before

• Savings displayed at the bottom of each customer’s receipt

Current Rewards customers do not need to do anything to join the new program. The new benefits will be offered to them with their existing card right away. Customers who do not have a Rewards card can sign up easily by asking any cashier for an application, going to fredmeyer.com, or using the Fred Meyer app.
