A man was killed in a southeast Portland fire Saturday morning in Southeast Portland.

When firefighters arrived at the house, which is located near 66th and Southeast Taggert Street, flames had broken through the front windows.

When firefighters entered the front door they found a large hole in the floor which made it difficult for firefighters to battle the fire.

They searched the house and found a man who had died.

The cause of the fire was smoker's carelessness.

No one else was injured in the fire.
