White House Avoids Comment On Stock Market Volatility


The White House is still avoiding comment on this week's wild ride on Wall Street.  The Dow Jones Industrial Average dropped more than 1,000 points yesterday for the second time this week. Speaking broadly, White House spokesman Raj Shah brushed off the daily ups-and-downs of financial markets. He said the fundamentals of the U.S. economy remain strong.  

President Trump has often bragged about Wall Street gains during his tenure.
