So The Gov't Paid For Those National Anthems?

There's no easy answer to the current controversy about national anthems and athletes. A little history lends perspective. As an NFL season ticket holders (49ers)(I know, don't judge me) I have enjoyed MANY a pregame flag ceremony with the singing of the national anthem. It is always a moving presentation. Now I am just finding out that all of the pomp and circumstance was staged - paid for by my (and your) taxes. Not that I'm mad...but a little perspective helps understand where we are today.
