Eight floating homes were damaged or destroyed in a fire early Friday morning at the Pier West Community in North Portland.
Vancouver Fire's boat joined Portland Fire & Rescue's boat battling the flames.
Firefighters also have to wear floatation devices when fighting fires in floating homes.
Two people were rescued by the first crew on the scene. No injuries were reported.
The investigation into the cause of the fire is ongoing.
