TriMet has cut 68 administrative positions.

The transit agency is cutting its budget, because of a 300-million-dollar shortfall expected over the next several years.

Half of the positions were vacant. 26 employees were laid off. So far, TriMet has cut expenses by nearly $18 million.

TriMet is still considering a rate increase and finding new sources of revenue.
