Suspects Arrested In Copper Thefts

Copper thieves have stolen more than two-million-dollars worth of wire across Portland over the last six months.

They're mainly targeting phone lines which impact homes, businesses and emergency response systems.

Police identified a location and served a warrant where they recovered stolen wire and a metal drum that was used to burn insulation from the wire.

Two people were arrested and one person was cited.
