Police Stop Two Street Takeover Events

Portland Police stopped two street takeover events Friday night and early Sunday.

The first incident happened on North Columbia Boulevard near the Amazon warehouse. Ten vehicles were involved. One driver was arrested and his car was towed.

The second incident happened near the Moda Center and involved a larger group. More police officers and Multnomah County deputies were called to help break up the event. One of the drifting cars hit a patrol car causing minor injuries to the two officers inside. The driver, from Kent, Washington, was arrested for assault of a police officer and reckless driving.
