A fire that started in a Portland City Councilor's vehicle damaged several vehicles and a carport early Sunday morning.
Investigators say the fire is suspicious in origin.
Firefighters found several vehicles burning when they arrived. They put out the fire and determined the fire started in a car owned by City Councilor Candace Avalos.
No one was injured by the fire.
The Portland Fire Investigations Unit is working to determine the cause of the fire.
