The Oregon Department of Agriculture has confirmed bird flu at a farm in Wallowa County. Cases of bird flu often increase this time of year, because of migrating wild birds co-mingling with domestic flocks. The farm was placed under quarantine and all poultry on the property were euthanized. None of the birds were intended for the food chain. When properly cooked, bird flu does not affect meat or egg products.
