Man Tries To Trade Machine Gun For ATV

A Salem, Oregon man is under arrest after trying to trade a submachine gun for an ATV.

The seller of the ATV contacted the Cowlitz County Sheriff's Office when the buyer said he wanted to make the trade, allegedly saying he knew submachine guns were illegal in Washington, but told the seller not to say anything.

Deputies were at the meeting and arrested 40-year-old Jacob Dixon.

A submachine gun, which appeared to be fully automatic and didn't have a serial number, was found in Dixon's vehicle.

Dixon faces several gun charges.
