A Portland Firefighter suffered a minor injury when there was a flashover during a house fire.
The house is located in the Foster Powell Neighborhood.
Smoke was rolling out of the front of the house when the first crews arrived. There was a lot of items inside making it difficult for firefighters to move around.
Smoke and aerosolized fuels built up in the front room causing a flashover. One firefighter was treated for a minor burn to the ear.
Firefighter trainees got experience cutting holes in the roof to vent smoke. No other injuries were reported.
The investigation into the cause of the fire is ongoing.
