Oregon Zoo Lights Enters Final Week

The year’s nearly over, but folks still have time to brighten their winter season. ZooLights, presented by U.S. Bank, runs through Sunday, Jan. 5, at the Oregon Zoo — after that, it’s lights out for another year.

“We hope everyone has a chance to experience the magic of ZooLights before we pack things up for the season,” zoo events director Jamie Inglis said. “There are some exciting new displays that shouldn’t be missed.”

The dazzling Northwest tradition has been an especially hot ticket since its Nov. 22 opening. Among the highlights this season: glowing wildlife lanterns along the train route, a river of dancing light on the central lawn, and installations by local artists and makers throughout the zoo.

Admission during Jan. 1–5 is just $13 — less than half of a regular ZooLights admission. For reservations and information, visit oregonzoo.org/lights.
