A woman said that she was disinvited from her friend's destination wedding after purchasing $1,000 plane tickets, according to The Daily Mail.

Posting on the r/weddings subreddit, user Powerful-Lettuce-999 said that her friend from college recently invited her to a wedding in Asia. The woman was excited and purchased her tickets, only to learn three days later that she was no longer invited, sharing the following message she received from the bride.

"Hey guys im so sorry to tell you this but i dont have any accomodation left for yall for the wedding i sincerely apologise i hope yall havent booked tickets as yet," the bride told her and several people who were no longer invited.

The woman messaged her friend back, explaining how she already bought plane tickets.

"Hey, I literally just booked my tickets and everything like 3 days ago cuz our agent knew and found something (I don't think the rest did idk) I'm gonna try to cancel but I don't think I can. I understand how the space was limited family and all that so it's fine no worries."

Her friend said that if she couldn't get a refund for the tickets, she'd work something out. The woman said she wasn't sure how she felt attending the wedding now that she was uninvited.

"'If I attend, my friends would feel horrible that I got to go and they didn't," she explained.

She then asked the community for advice and what to do next.

"I was super excited about this, and really happy for her. I feel so icky about all of this," she wrote.

Responses on what she should do next were mixed, with many confused as to why she couldn't book her own accommodations and still attend the wedding.

One person suggested she should just fly to Asia and spend her time as she wanted.

"I would go and have my own vacation! Seriously! How did she think people would react? knowing many people book these things months ahead so that they can afford to go. Don't loose money canceling... go, explore, and have the time of your life! That sounds easy more enticing than an awkward feeling wedding. No pun on the bride but I won't force myself into any situation," user Mrb061180 replied.

Others blasted the bride and told the woman she should end their friendship.

While Powerful-Lettuce-999 updated her post several times, she did not say how she plans to handle the situation.
