Street Takeover Mission Nets 29 Arrests

The final tallies are in from the Portland Police Bureau's mission to stop street takeover events last weekend.

During the multi-agency effort, they stopped 184 vehicles, issued 80 citations, towed 39 vehicles and made 29 arrests.

Drivers from across the West Coast were expected in Portland to street race and do spin-outs in intersections or on blocked freeways.

Two people were killed in a vehicle that crashed while trying to elude Gresham Police.
