Early Sunday morning Vancouver Fire was dispatched to the report of a commercial building on fire at 14387 SE Mill Plain Blvd.
This was the former Mongolian Grill restaurant.
Vancouver Fire responded with nine units. A total of twenty-six fire department personnel were on scene at the height of our deployment.
Initial crews found heavy smoke and fire coming from the building. The building was vacant at the time. Vancouver fire engaged the fire quickly with multiple engine and truck companies. Within twenty minutes the fire was deemed under control.
The building suffered extensive damage from the fire.
The Vancouver Fire Marshals office is investigating the incident.
