More than 75,000 Oregon students are without a computer as they're trying to learn remotely during the coronavirus pandemic.
Free Geek TechNOW is working to help those students.
A series of 10 equipment collections will be held in the Portland and Salem areas starting Wednesday, May 27.
Free Geek takes old electronics and refurbishes it or recycles it if the device can't be rebuilt.
The goal is to collect 10,000 devices (laptops, cell phones and tablets) through both technology and financial contributions.
