As a way to connect with our communities while in-person fire station tours are currently suspended during the COVID-19 pandemic, Tualatin Valley Fire & Rescue launched a virtual fire station tour where people can learn about life in a firehouse from the comfort and safety of their own homes.
Community members of all ages can virtually visit Aloha Fire Station 62, located along Southwest 209th Avenue, where they’ll meet the crew, check out the fire engine, and learn about some of the tools and equipment they use. They’ll get to see what the inside of the station looks like and learn about station life for a firefighter.
TVF&R encourages community members to continue following public health official’s recommendations during the COVID-19 pandemic to prevent further spread of the contagious virus. Stay at home and only travel for essential reasons. Maintain good hygiene. And make sure to take time for yourself, whether it’s quiet time alone or reaching out to a loved one.
