The St. Paul Rodeo Board of Directors has made the heartbreaking decision to postpone the 85th St. Paul Rodeo until June 30 – July 4, 2021.
The St. Paul Rodeo has endured many hardships since the eight founders decided to create a Fourth of July Celebration in the Willamette Valley in 1935. The cherished traditions that surround the St. Paul Rodeo are important and the Board of Directors has looked at every possible avenue to continue these traditions. As with thousands of other events, we have not found the answer and sadly there will be no St. Paul Rodeo or related events in 2020.
“We know you are all suffering and would have liked nothing better than to celebrate this great country in our special little town this year,” said Randy Ernst, St. Paul rodeo president. “Our hearts are breaking for the memories lost and the state of our country during this sad and overwhelming time. But our first responsibility is to the health and safety of our community, our members and rodeo fans.”
“We will all miss the special St. Paul traditions, including the Trail Ride, Pancake Breakfast, Hall of Fame BBQ, 4th of July Parade, Carnival, Wild West Art Show, Tack Room Saloon and most of all the St. Paul Rodeo and that is disappointing,” Ernst said.
Our sincere wish to our fans, sponsors, contestants, vendors, members, personnel, and everyone involved in the St. Paul Rodeo is that you and your family remain safe and healthy. We continue to send out well-wishes to everyone who has been so deeply affected by this pandemic and are grateful to everyone who loves the St. Paul Rodeo as much as we do. We will get through this together and come back even stronger – we are ST. PAUL STRONG!
The 2021 St. Paul Rodeo will be held June 30-July 4, 2021. Information regarding ticket refunds will be sent out soon. For more information, visit www.StPaulRodeo.com.
