Teenager Killed In Beavercreek Crash

A 16-year-old student from Oregon City High School was killed in a crash Wednesday morning in Beavercreek.

Around 7:30 a.m., a homeowner near Henrici Road and Athens Drive called 9-1-1 to report a crash.

Clackamas County Sheriff's Deputies arrived to find a 2013 Volkswagen 4-door sedan had left the roadway and crashed into a tree.

Oregon City Police, Clackamas Fire District #1, and AMR personnel also responded to the crash scene. Fire personnel extracted the driver from the vehicle and began life-saving efforts, but the driver died at the scene.

The Clackamas County Medical Examiner, Clackamas County Criminal Reconstruction and Forensic Technicians (CRAFT), and Sheriff's Office CSI investigated the crash.

They believe the teenage driver was heading southwest on Henrici Road when the vehicle left the roadway and collided with the tree. Initial evidence indicates the driver was not wearing a seatbelt. The reason for the vehicle leaving the roadway is still under investigation.

The driver is identified as 16-year-old Charles Anthony Brennan, of Oregon City.

Brennan was a student at Oregon City High School. Administrators at the school were notified and have made counselors available to students.
